We invite you to look over our Past Pastoral Plan: St Ann Pastoral Plan
Inspired by Archbishop Lori’s Pastoral Letter on evangelization-based pastoral planning, “A Light Brightly Visible”, our diverse Parish Planning Team of 16 parishioners and staff members was formed in December 2020 and began a process of prayerful reflection and discernment upon the vision, the opportunities and the challenges expressed in the Archbishop’s letter.
The Planning Team, facilitated by archdiocesan staff, met together monthly and considered the current circumstances of our parish and community and identified areas of strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. The Team also deepened its understanding and renewed its appreciation of our parish Mission, Vision and Values Statements.
From this foundation, the Team carefully reviewed each of the six Archdiocesan Mission Priorities, brainstormed potential initiatives for our parish to pursue, and in Spring 2022 developed consensus about particular initiatives and projects that form the key elements of our evangelization-based Parish Pastoral Plan.
The title of our plan (“A Light for Our Path”) is drawn from Psalm 119 and reflects our confidence in, and reliance upon, the light of the Holy Spirit of God to guide and direct us in our efforts to fulfill our Mission: “To Be A Welcoming Catholic Community That Loves God, Forms Disciples, Serves Others, Changes Lives!” and so, as missionary disciples, bring the Gospel of Christ ever more effectively to both our fellow parishioners and to the larger community of which we are a part!
We believe that God is always calling us to something greater – and our team is excited to be taking our first steps (along with our entire parish community of faith) toward implementing our plan in the months and years to come!
Mark your calendars to join us for our upcoming events!! And these are just a few. Check our bulletin for the most up-to-date offerings: https://www.fataonline.com/bulletins/stannhagerstown.
