Stewardship

Stewardship

Knowing that God blesses us with everything we have (beginning with our life, itself) inspires a deep sense of gratitude and moves us to share generously from all of the blessings entrusted to us for the work of building God’s Kingdom. Stewardship is “what I do with what I have as a grateful follower of Jesus”

Stewardship is our grateful response to God’s many gifts through the offering of our time, talent and treasure:
* Time is our gift of prayer
* Talent is the gift of ourselves to others
* Treasure is the gift of our financial resources

The purpose of the Stewardship Commission is to encourage and foster a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as we serve others through prayer, giving of self and our personal resources.  As a faith Community, we support outreach efforts to the greater Hagerstown community through our partnerships with other faith traditions in Micah’s Backpack,  Reach Cold Weather Shelter, and St Mark Lutheran Church pantry (Loaves and Fishes).
