Adult Faith Formation
ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Welcome to St. Ann Adult Faith formation! Through Small Faith Sharing groups, Book club, Adoration, RCIA and faith- based seminars, we seek to grow knowledge of our faith, enliven our spiritual lives, and strengthen our community. Please see below for information and upcoming events!
SMALL FAITH SHARING GROUPS:
A wonderful way to take the Sunday scriptures and apply them to our daily lives! Small faith sharing groups help us to make big church smaller, meet and support others in the faith, grow in our relationship with God. Small groups meet weekly in six to seven-week sessions.
Not sure small faith sharing groups are for you? Check out this video from others here at St. Ann’s who at one time felt just like you….https://youtu.be/0BgGWDnkEMM
WOMEN GATHERING IN FAITH:
This is a wonderful group of St. Ann’s women of all ages, that meet every 4th Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30 pm virtually on Zoom until we are able to meet in the Manalis Center again. We choose a book to read and discuss. We would LOVE for you to join us!!! Email Lucinda Stevens at Lucinda@myactv.net with questions. We will be starting a new book in February: Hail Holy Queen: The Mother of God in the Word of God by Scott Hahn.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults):
ARE YOU SOMEONE OR DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO…Is interested in exploring the Catholic Faith? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? Has teens who are missing sacraments or are missing years of formation?
A new RCIA session will be starting the end of September. Please call Amy Rohan, 301-733-0410 x103 or email at arohan@stannchurch.com and we would be happy to work with you!
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
Starting in September, St. Ann will be hosting Monthly Adoration from 6-8:00 p.m. on the THIRD Tuesday evening of each month. You are welcome to just stop, come for an hour or for the entire two hours! Bring your family! Adoration is a wonderful time to bring Jesus your cares and to sit quietly while He lovingly speaks to your heart. “Our Lord, in the Blessed Sacrament has his hands full of graces and is ready to bestow them on anyone who asks for them”. St. Peter of Alcantara
YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST WORKSHOPS:
Stay tuned for upcoming Year of the Eucharist workshops (to take place between the masses)
as we examine how as people of faith we must seek to more fully encounter Christ as
members of the Assembly, through the Scriptures, in the Person of the Priest and in the Eucharist.
