About Our Parish
For many years Catholics of northeast Hagerstown and Washington County were served by St. Mary’s Parish. As the Catholic population of the area continued to experience significant growth, a new Saint Ann Parish was established on June 11, 1966. The cornerstone of the church was laid in 1968 and the church was dedicated in 1970. As the parish continued to grow through the decades, two additional wings were added to the campus – the Parish Center (1991) and the Manalis Center (2006), along with the addition of a choir loft and pipe organ for the church.
Today, our parish community – welcoming folks who come from across the tri-state area, including Hagerstown and Washington County, southern Pennsylvania and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia -- reflects an increasingly diverse cultural environment with a wide menu of ministry and spiritual growth & development offerings, community fellowship opportunities and outreach & activities for families, students from K – high school, youth and young adult ministry, and adult faith programs.
