Pre-K to Grade 5
Prekindergarten – The Pre-K program is for children who will be 4 years old by September 1 of the current school year. Sessions are held from 10:15am – 11:15 am on Sunday mornings from September through May and taught by two catechists. The class curriculum uses the Allelu series which includes stories, prayer, games, crafts, and music as a means to praise God and to express faith.
Grade K-5 – Elementary children in grades K-5 meet on Sunday mornings from 10:15 am – 11:15 a.m. from September through May (See the Foundations in Faith calendar for specific dates). The goal of our program is to create a love for our Catholic faith and the means for living that faith each day. All grade levels (K-5) follow the curriculum guidelines established by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The Foundations in Faith program is currently using the Alive in Christ Series which teaches the four pillars of the Catholic Church: Creed, Prayer, Sacraments and Life of Faith in a thought provoking and engaging manner.
Home School Program – The home study program is offered for parents who make the decision to provide intentional faith formation for their children at home. Textbooks are provided (also using the Alive in Christ series), and opportunities for support and community are offered during the year. If you are interested in this option, please call Amy Rohan at 301-733-0410 ext.103 more information.
Junior Believers – Kindergarten to Grade 5 – All children of the parish in Grade K through 5th grade are invited to participate in our Junior Believers youth group activities to expand their faith and friendships! Join us for fun events like skating, holiday parties, and outdoor games, to build our young community through good times! Simply RSVP to specific activities as indicated in the bulletin and come join in the fun!

On Sunday, if Foundations in Faith is cancelled a decision will be made by 8 am. 2020-2021 Foundations in Faith Families
The Faith Formation team at St. Ann is excitedly planning for this upcoming formation year! On the horizon is a program that will include sessions to welcome families in person for formation (as soon as possible) as well as solid, simple opportunities and support for family formation at home using a combination of hand’s-on activities and faith discussion points. In addition, upon registration, each family will have unlimited access to Catholic Brain, an interactive online platform with games, short videos, an online bible and saint of the day that will help our young, and not so young, students learn in a fun way.
We are diligently looking for ways to support our families in this ever changing environment. We recognize how important it is to provide spiritually enriching community formation while at the same time keeping everyone safe. We understand that the most effective way to do this is through an active partnership with our parents and families. We will be hosting meetings, both virtually and in person, to discuss our upcoming formation year. Please look for details of these meetings and ways to register for FIF in an upcoming flocknote. Please check your inbox for our August 5 Foundations in Faith Survey or click the link below to complete it today! Thank you for your patience and your participation!
