We are holding a parent/teen info session on Thurs, April 16th from 6-7pm in the Jerusalem/Nazareth Rooms. I would like anyone attending WorkCamp or still on the fence, to attend. That night I would like to get final registrations from anyone who has not registered, but interested. Any teens who would like to stay, we will have TIM Team meeting right after (7-8:30pm) & will be talking about the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser & making posters for the dinner. *I will have pizza & drinks for anyone who will be coming to this meeting & staying for the TIM Team meeting.
We will be holding a MANDATORY tool training on Sunday, May 24th 1-3/3:30pm here at St. Ann’s. This will be to train the teens how to properly & safely use the tools they will be working with at the WorkCamp this summer. Some of the Baltimore WorkCamp crew, along with our St. Ann “contractors” and additional volunteers, will be there to help guide the kids through tool safety & use. We will be constructing picnic tables that we will use here at St. Ann’s.
We are also looking for adults to help. There is an array of areas that we need help with. Some are for the whole week & some can be daily. It is in Cumberland, so it is not terribly far away. Please contact Lisa Noel, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, if you are interested!!
We will be doing fundraisers to help raise the money for the cost of the WorkCamp. Mark your calendars for our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, April 24, 2020. More details will be coming. In the meantime, we are looking for the kids to help get people/businesses to donate items that we can put together for raffles. Examples: Restaurant Gift Card, Movie Tickets, Scentsy/Tastefully Simple/Etc Items…. anything that they think people would be interested in.
Appeal letters may also be written by the youth. Here are sample appeal letters & instructions that the kids can mail/give out to people they know who might support them. Appeals letter instructions and St Ann’s WorkCamp Appeal Letter
*If your child would like to attend WorkCamp but you are worried about the cost, PLEASE contact me. We do not want anyone UNABLE to attend due to the cost.
